365 Times Two – Because I Can

I just finished my second 365 photo project. How did I do? Pretty well. I skipped a few days this past year, but I managed to finish strong.

So when it came time to decide if I would do it again this year, I don’t think I really even considered not doing it again. My only dilemma was which theme I would choose. I missed my original “From Where I Stand” theme this past year, and even though I enjoyed the “Through” theme of 2013, I wasn’t really sold on doing it again.

Except…

Except I bought a toy. I took a few photos through my new crystal ball and started to really, really like how they came out. I considered doing a daily crystal ball photo.

But I really wanted to do “From Where I Stand” again.

But, but, but… I don’t want to choose!

So, I won’t.

I’m doing both.

I will be taking the photos every day. I’ll show you the first four days of the year, and from here on out I’ll do a monthly wrap-up of my favorites.

So, here we go!

From Where I Stand:

Day one: Brian started training for his Arctic expedition. More to come on that soon!

Day two: The view from home. Eight floors up is high enough for me!

Day three: Cooling off at the pool after a hot, hot day walking all over town and back. Aaaah.

Day four: Ready, set, GO! Just kidding, I don’t run. We found ourselves in the sporting goods shop for new tennis rackets though.

Through the Crystal Ball:

Day one: City lights. We get fantastic sunsets and beautiful lights every night from home.

Day two: I can see my house from here!

Day three: Yes, our complex pool really is this gorgeous. Lucky, lucky us.

Daily Globe

Day four: Hanging out in my favorite place, the book store!

I’ll be posting my crystal ball photos daily on Instagram if you care to follow along.

Are you doing a 365 photo project this year? Share a link in the comments, I’d love to see what you’re up to.

Not so keen on the height of the second one. I quite like the from where I stand theme. Hope your enjoying your holiday.
Those through the crystal ball shots are simply amazing…..may need to get myself one….look forward to seeing your monthly round up. To do one pic a day is a challenge in itself so to do two is madness…..sorry brave.
I am joining in again this year and my post is at http://www.funasagran.co.uk/2014/01/project-365-first-for-2014.html

Love the crystal ball photos – all of them are just wonderful. The second where I stand photo is brilliant but does makes me a little queasy. Lovely to meet you. I’m new to 365 :)

Thanks, Charly! Imagine if I’d taken that one from the top floor. Eight is high enough for me, twenty eight would be a bit out of my comfort zone! :D
Welcome to the 365 world. I’m looking forward to seeing your shots.

I love these – it’s fascinating how much you can communicate with a picture of feet – who knew. Intrigued by the Arctic expedition, sounds incredible!
