What better way to start a week than in Edinburgh?
The city has quickly become one of my favorite places in all of Scotland because it has everything we could possibly want. There are green spaces, hills to hike, centuries of history, pubs and restaurants galore, a million things to do, and especially people we love. We took the train up for a quick weekend to spend time with Brian’s boys, and found a few minutes to play tourist before we met them.
The rest of the week gave us down time to rest after all the traveling we’ve done lately. Well, it was rest for me, Brian had to go back to work.
I took advantage of the above-freezing temperatures and got back out on the roads. I was trying not to die while I completed the Couch to 5k program and I did it! I can finally jog for 30 minutes straight without stopping for walking breaks. Now to work on my sloth pace.
I thought maybe we had started creeping towards spring, but then winter slapped us across the face. Yesterday we woke up to four inches of snow.
Four inches of snow that was just the right temperature for an epic snowball battle. All that jogging finally paid off! I was able to run away from Brian’s deadly aim and he couldn’t catch me!
Sadly for me, he can throw farther than I could run. I got not one, but two facefuls of snow. One on each side.
But I got even. I nailed him perfectly with a giant ball of drippy snow, right down the back of his neck. Ha!

Great captures!! Thanks for taking me along to Edinburgh, since I have never been there. We got a bit of snow ourselves!!! However, since it is so dry, we really love it when that happens.
Wonderful post and variety of great photos for SAT ~ Love them all ~ yet first one is my favorite ~ ^_^

Great photos for the week, I am so jealous of the snow, we didn’t get any
All linked up! I love that top photo Peg, it’s absolutely amazing and the different angles are gorgeous! I’ve been there but I don’t recall seeing that. It makes for an interesting self portrait.
Thanks for linking up.

These are terrific photos. I love the flower, and the Camera Obscura portrait. We visited there a few years ago and I remember it being a really interesting place to go.
